On my recent trip to Canada, I came across a whole load of pictures dating from the mid-60s to the mid-80s. My original intent had been to write a blog entry covering my trip; however, these are far more interesting and deserving of a forum all their own. I added captions in an attempt to give them some context, but I’m not even sure when some of these were taken nor am I certain of the locations in some cases. To my new friends in Ecuador: don’t judge me too harshly – I was young and/or drunk. To my Toronto friends: If you knew me in the 60s, 70s or 80s you might be in here (sue me).
Remember, you can look at the pictures here, or, click one and start a slide show to see the full captions…
My 1965 passport photo, I believe, although I thought they made you take off your glasses…

My favourite bartender in 1975 was Jodie from Buddies Bar in Toronto. Oh, and he was also a professional clown.
So, there was this Halloween party… I have my glass and my Manneken Pis battery operated decanter…
I guess Danny and I went off in the woods and took pictures. About 1978, I think.
More of us in the woods.
Still tramping about in the woods
This might have been in Calgary about 1970
Well, somebody must have dared me…

Similarly, not Bob, not PR and never to be mentioned.
This is not Bob and it was not taken at the Forteleza, Puerto Rico, 1976
About 1980, Strawberry Fields, Central Park NYC
International Jazz Festival, Havana, Cuba: Hotel Nacional; looking fit!
Before my neighbourhood bar, Statlers, moved up the street into larger digs, it was a cozy little joint. Here I am watching Julie Michels…
Guy Moreau is a Toronto entetainer and sings in clubs all around town. In this 1975 or so pic, he was a busboy at the Carriage House (no one had told him he could sing back then)
